Sun-Dappled Robots
(C, G, G7)
Back in the sun-dappled days of my youth
I’d go to the river every Sunday
Meet all my friends and we’d have a picnic
And then we’d all ride on our robots.
The lapping of the waves and the whirr of the servos
The warmth of the sun reflected the water
The hum of positronics and a flash of lasers
It’s wonderful to ride on a robot.
(E7, A7, D7, G7 – E7, G7)
When you’re riding on a robot you lose all sense of time
No troubles, no worries, everything is sublime
A game of robot polo or a quick robot swim
Riding on a robot was the best it’s ever been.
(C, G, G7)
Crashing through the branches or slipping on the muddy bank
Metal exoskeletons glinting in the sunshine
Catching your breath before heading home
It’s wonderful to ride on a robot.
You eat a nice dinner and you brush your teeth
Snuggle up while the nano-nanny tucks you in
You close your eyes and have a great dream
‘Bout the next time you’ll ride on a robot
(REPEAT OTHER PART)
Well, now I am commander of my very own starship
I’m eating hydroponics and giving orders
I’ve got the greatest view in all of space
But there’s no room to ride on a robot.
So I miss those sun-dappled days of my youth
Going to the river every Sunday
I miss the picnics; I miss my friends but
I mostly miss riding on my robot.

Bad Ass! I’ve been sucking lately on both the blogging and the making front. I’d like to say this will change soon or that I’m doing a damn thing about it, but that would be a huge fucking lie.
How am I just discovering this shit? I’ve found my sisters…and they’re from fucking Texas?
Gotta say I didn’t see that coming.
